Online Registration opens for the Willie Walters Wrestling Club 2026-2027 Mason Dixon Youth Wrestling League Season on 9/14!!

I hope everyone had a great off-season! I just wanted to send out a quick note reminding everyone that our 2026-2027 MDWL season registration opens up on Monday 9/14/2026. Don’t wait to sign up, our registration is capped at 75 wrestlers! You can register by clicking on the registration tab on this website.

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

We will have an open mat/in-person registration in the wrestling room at James Wood Middle School sometime toward the middle of October. This event is for everyone, and allows kids that may be interested but not sure about wrestling to get a soft introduction and learn a little about the team and sport before committing.  

After the open-mat practices will start at the beginning to middle of November. The coaching staff will split kids into 3 separate groups; beginner, intermediate, and advanced. All first year wrestlers will be in the beginner group. The coaches will make the decision as to what wrestlers are in the intermediate and advanced groups. The beginner group will practice on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 5:30pm-6:30pm followed directly by the intermediate group who will practice from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The advanced group will practice on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
